JOB DESCRIPTION – BIOINFORMATICS ANALYST

Kyvor Genomics Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Kyvor Genomics Inc., USA. Kyvor is a Personalized medicine company with an initial focus on Cancer. It is currently expanding its base in Chennai, India.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Bioinformatics Research Analyst, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and end to end deployment of sequence data analysis. Your day to day activities will cover a large array of tasks including QC, analysis and interpretation of Whole Exome data, panel data, RNA seq data, defining pipelines for the process, validating them to the ACMG standards.

JOB-TYPE: Full-Time

CTC: ₹2,00,000 – ₹6,00,000 P.A.

LOCATION: Chennai

SHIFT: 10AM – 6PM (General)

REPORTING TO: Head – Clinical Genomics

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: PhD / Masters in Bioinformatics or Genomics or Computational Biology

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaboratively supporting the Research analysis team by developing pipelines, analysis strategies, and delivering on projects

• Designing, charting progression, and completing analysis projects with clear timelines, accuracy, and delivery of data

• Prioritizing and managing work effort to deliver data, results, and analyses in efficient and time appropriate fashion

• Tracking sample metadata and delivering data in a high-throughput production environment

• Providing bioinformatics support to the research team

• Maintaining accurate sample and sequence analysis records in our database

• Implementing standard operating procedures to maintain stringent performance requirements, including throughput and quality metrics

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• PhD / Masters in Bioinformatics or Genomics or Computational Biology

• Experience in NGS data analysis (Ex: WGS, RNA seq) and familiarity with NGS technologies and platforms

• High level of proficiency with R programming language and or other scripting languages (Python, PERL, etc.)

• Experience with Bioconductor packages for genomic bioinformatics

• Strong command of the English Language is mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹200,000.00 – ₹600,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

• Thousand Lights, Chennai – 600006, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
