Job Title : Business Analyst

Summary of the Role

The STAR Analyst is responsible for helping to develop requirements and epics for agile development, helping to prioritize and analyze requirements, and to translate these requirements into a set of software requirements in JIRA that can be implemented by developers, and serve as an intermediary with account teams or the clients as needed. In addition, the STAR Analyst is responsible for development of user documentation and on-line help for client releases of STAR.

Responsibilities

  • Working with account teams to understand customer requirements and support the development of development requirements and epics to support agile development.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation, including implementation on-line user documentation for new modules and implementations, and modification of existing documentation for client change requests.
  • Work with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance and operations to ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementations match expectations.
  • Ensure that the delivered software will meet client expectations.
  • Develop internal and external communication materials as needed, translating and summarizing technical information for business audiences

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline
  • Strong project management skills, and the ability to interact with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Experience managing the development of a data / analytics driven software product
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) including ability to translate between business and technical domains and interface with customers.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with agile development and concepts such as databases, programming, statistical modeling, data visualization.
  • Strong abilities with MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
  • Ideally, the candidate has experience in development of business intelligence tools in the healthcare industry.
